President

Pam Marquez

Pam Marquez has been serving as President since 2021. She has bowled for over 30 years with a high game of 279 and a high series of 714. She currently bowls on Thursday nights at Yosemite Lanes and can be found there on Friday nights supporting her daughter.

Pam has served on the board for 20 years as director, vice president, and president. She is quoted as saying, “I enjoy the sport of bowling and wanted to join an organization that promotes bowling in our community. I advocate for bowling and strive to keep the sport alive.” Her favorite event is the Annual Association Dinner, being able to bring bowlers together to celebrate the Modesto Bowling Hall of Fame members, Pioneer Award winners, and Youth scholarship winners.

Vice Presidents

Carol Serpa

Carol Serpa is one of the current Vice Presidents and has been bowling for over 40 years. She was inducted into the Modesto Bowling Hall of Fame in 2011 for her ability. She has bowled at Modesto Bowl, McHenry Bowl, and Yosemite Lanes. Having started at the age of 12, she has 8 300s and 1 800 series she shot in May 2025. She has competed in many tournaments and has won the Women’s California State Tournament in 2008 in the team division. You can find her on Wednesday and Thursday nights at Yosemite Lanes.
Carol has been serving on the board since 2016, where she has been a Director and Vice President. She is quoted as saying, “Providing and hearing great ideas that come together to promote this sport. Bowling is my passion, and I like to think I pass this on by giving my time and support to all our events. I hope my passion for this sport shines through, as ‘Bowling is a Sport for Life’.” One of Carol’s favorite events is the Annual Association Dinner, where youth are honored, the newest Hall of Fame members get inducted, good food is served, and there is an opportunity to win multiple raffle prizes. Another event Carol enjoys is the Princess Tournament. A handicap tournament designed for ladies who want to give it a try, not needing a high average, where the bowlers have the opportunity to win prizes, and a tiara is presented to the winner.

Jennifer Braham

Jennifer Braham is one of the current Vice Presidents and has been bowling for 39 years at Yosemite Lanes. She started as a youth bowler. She has may 290 games, with a high of 297. You can find Jennifer on Friday mornings, bowling with her grandfather in the Staikoff league (where he is one of the founding members of the league that turned their practice into a fun league).
Jennifer has served on the board for 12 years as a director and Vice President. She has a love for youth bowling and works hard to support and bring back youth bowling to Yosemite Lanes and Modesto. One of her favorite tournaments is the BVL Friendship Doubles, where she is given the opportunity to bowl with her grandfather and make memories. Her favorite event is the Annual Association Dinner, where she takes pride in making sure the hall is decorated and inviting, giving the kids fun activities to do, and hopes more people will come and show support to the bowling community.
